Sea Change

The U.S.S. Ticonderoga (CVA-14) became my new home when, in August of 1955, I left the Naval Aviation Cadet program: they wanted to get rid of me, and I wanted to go. I had become, quite seriously, convinced that if I stayed in the NavCads, I'd be killed. The details, again, are in my A World Ago blog ( ). And thus a new chapter of my life began.
